The suspension light TOPAN, designed by Verner Panton in 1960, was one of the first mass-produced lamps and it is reproduced by &tradition (former Unique Copenhagen). Although TOPAN functioned on a basic level by giving off direct light, Panton suspended it at different heights so that the light could reflect directly off surfaces placed below it. It could also be hung singly or in groups.
